Apple is raising prices for its apps. Why?

Hurry up now. Apple has announced that it intends to increase prices for apps in the next few hours. This was announced by the company in an email to app developers.

Did you think about downloading a paid app ? But then fast! Apple has announced plans to increase prices for apps in the next few hours .

How much exactly the apps in the App Store are more expensive, you do not know yet. According to rumors, apps that cost € 0.89 so far will soon cost € 0.99. For more expensive apps, the price increase could be even higher.

In addition to iPhone and iPad apps, the apps in the Mac App Store for Macbooks and iMacs are also affected.

The reason for the price increase is the change in sales tax and fluctuating exchange rates. According to a new EU law, it is now no longer decisive for the VAT, where a company sits, but where it provides the service. This has closed a tax loophole for Apple (head office in Luxembourg). In addition, the value of the euro has fallen significantly in recent months.

Dear xxx,

Within the next 36 hours, prices will increase in app stores across the European Union, as well as in Canada and Norway, sink in Iceland and change in Russia. It comes to these changes to adjust prices to VAT and foreign exchange rates.

We will update the pricing matrix at the same time under "My Apps".

We will also customize the section for purchased iOS apps and OS X apps.
