Not only elderly people often suffer from loss of appetite . Illness or medication, but also grief and stress can quickly hit the stomach. Just then the body relies on healthy, nutritious meals. Exercise in the fresh air can revive hunger. But these foods also help to overcome the loss of appetite :

cinnamon

The popular spice stimulates the formation of digestive juices. This triggers the signal "appetite" in the brain. Stir half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon into a glass of tea . Drink about 20 minutes before the scheduled meal.

chives

In the morning, eat a quark bread with fresh chives . The essential oils contained in the spicy herb stimulate the metabolism and thus avoid loss of appetite .

Hops tea

The bitter substances of the hop are considered excellent appetizers. Add four teaspoons of hops (pharmacy) to one liter of boiling water and let it steep for ten minutes. Drink one hour before eating.

ginger

Season your meal with fresh ginger or suck it between meals ginger sweets. Acid from the root stimulates the formation of gastric acid and thereby outwits loss of appetite.
