A father posts a video of his deceased daughter at the piano to fulfill her last wish. She wanted to be a musician.
Death seems unfair to most people, especially when it kills one person from one life to the next. This is what happens to the Dutch family van Keulen, who mourns for her daughter. The girl was just 13 years old when she was killed in a bicycle accident last week. It was a normal day, the course of which was to change the whole life of the family. Anna is on her way to school when she is hit by a car. A short time later she succumbs to her injuries.
Her father wants to fulfill his daughter's last wish. Anna van Keulen was a passionate musician. To fulfill her dream of celebrity, her father now posts a video of his deceased daughter on the piano. She plays the song "Did I Make the Most of Loving You" from the television series Downton Abbey.
Videos like this make tragic news personal. Mourning is difficult if you do not know the deceased person yourself. Anna's father lets us meet his daughter after her death. And suddenly the whole world mourns when the young girl in the video starts playing and her music makes her seem so alive.
Tragedies like these are what remind us of the phrase, "Live every day as if it were your last". You never know what's coming tomorrow. Anna's father keeps his daughter alive for a while with the videos and gives her her deserved 15 minutes of celebrity.
