You need this:

Photo: DECO & STYLE EXPERTS
  • Cylinder vase (must be the same width or wider than the material to be dyed)
  • Cotton fabric the size of the lampshade
  • Paketband
  • scissors
  • Big bucket of hot water
  • Marabu Easy Color Batik and Dyeing, ultramarine dark blue 25g +, for 2, 99 €
  • rubber gloves
  • Ironing board and iron
  • fabric glue
  • lampshade

And this is how it's done:

Wrap piece of fabric tightly around the vase. Firmly fasten the package tape to a vase end. Wrap the package strap firmly around the fabric-related vase. Completely wrap the package strap around the vase. Soak the fabric in clear, cold water for about 15 minutes. Mix the dye bath according to the packing instructions. Immerse the vase upright in the paint for about 30 seconds to obtain a bright shade of blue. Lift the vase approx. 8 cm out of the paint and wait a bit until the next desired shade is reached. For the darkest color, pull something out of the batik color and wait longer than before. Rinse the bound piece of cloth under cold water, remove natural tape, rinse again. Hang dry on a leash. Iron the piece of fabric and fix it to the lampshade with textile glue.
