What you need: (yarn studios DROPS ALPACA)
- 50 gr.
- Fb. No. 2923, mustard yellow
- 50 gr. Fb. No. 2915, orange
- a bit black for the eyes
- Cotton for the head
- DROPS CROCHET NEEDLE No. 2, 5 - stitch: 28 dia x 38 d. = 10 x 10 cm
CROCHET TIP:
Each round is begun with 1 ch and finished with 1 sl st in the round. Each row is rotated with 1 ch.
And this is how it's done:
BOOK MARKS:
First, crochet your head. Then the body and finally the wings and legs. The whole work is crocheted with needle No. 2, 5, and 1 thread.
HEAD:
Crochet 4 ch with mustard yellow and close with 1 sl st in a ring.
1st row: 8 dc in the lm ring - SEE CROCHET TIP!
2nd round: 2 sc in each dc = 16 dc.
3rd round: * 1 sc in the first sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 24 sc.
4th round: * 1 dc in each of the 2 first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from * - * = 32 dc.
Continue 8R each with 1 sc in each dc. Is the stitch sample correct?
ROUND 13: * 3 dc, skip 1 dc *, repeat from * - * = 24 dc.
ROUND 14: * skip 2 fM1 dc *, repeat from * - * = 16 dc.
ROUND 15: * 1 dc, skip 1 dc *, repeat from * - * = 8 dc.
Fill the head with cotton and then sew the head together (4 dc through both layers). Do not cut the thread but continue with the body.
BODY:
Continue with mustard yellow, now crochet back and forth. On the first row each 2 dc in each dc = 8 dc. Continue 1 sc in each sc. However, crochet on every other row on both sides in the outermost dc from 2 dc to 18 dc. 6R each with 1 sc in each dc. Continue to dec 1 dc on each side on every other row. until 8 fM are left. Cut the thread.
WING:
With mustard yellow 1 sc in the 2nd row on the left side of the body (from the front). Then work 12 lenghtwise ch lm. Turn the work, skip the first ch, 1 sl st in the 2nd ch, then 1 sc in each of the 10 last ch, with 1 sl st in the 3rd ch from the body. Work 1 ch and work 1 dc in every 9 dc.
Work 1 ch and work back (1 st in each st): skip the first st, 1 sl st, 1 dc, 1 hrs tr, 1 tr in the next 2 dc, 1 dtr in each Fasten the last 3 sts with 1 sl st in the 6 th round of the body and cut the thread. Repeat on the other side. Please take care: start on the back so that the wing points to the right side.
LEG:
