You need this:

  • DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk from Garnstudio
  • 50 g color 05, beige
  • + a rest of black for the eyes and muzzle
  • Filling wool - or Fill with Brushed Alpaca Silk so that the filling is the same color and does not show through
  • DROPS CROCHET NO. 3

Notes on the instructions:

TIP TO FILL:
Gradually fill with crochet with cotton wool or Brushed Alpaca Silk.

CROCHET TIP:
Each round with dc starts with 1 ch (this does NOT replace the 1st dc) and ends with 1 sl st in the first dc from the beg of round.
Each R with dc is turned with 1 ch - this chord does NOT replace the 1st dc of r.

TIP TO ACCEPT:
Cut off 1 dc by crocheting 2 sts together: insert the needle into the first st, take the thread, insert the needle into the next dc, make 1 turn and pull through all 3 loops on the needle.

And this is how it's done:

ALPACA:
The work is started at the top of the head, then you crochet the neck and the body. Legs, tail and ears are crocheted separately and sewn at the end. SEE TIP TO FILL!

HEAD, NECK AND BODY:
Crochet 4 ch with beige needle 3 and close with 1 sl st in 1st ch to the ring.
ROUND 1: Crochet 5 dc in the lm ring.
2nd ROUND: 2 sc in each dc = 10 dc. Work 1 ch, continue crocheting R in back and forth as described.
3.-seventh ROW: Make 1 dc in every dc in back and forth R (make the opening into which the muzzle is subsequently crocheted).
ROUND 8- ROUND: Complete 1 dc in each dc in a spiral shape without any rounds. Crochet the last round back to the middle of the neck.
ROUND 21: 1 dc in each of the 4 first dc, 2 dc in each of the 2 dc sts, and 1 dc in each of the 4 dc fm times = 12 dc.
ROUND 22: 1 dc in each of the first 5 dc, 2 dc in each of the next 2 dc and 1 dc in each of the last 5 dc = 14 dc.

36.- 45. ROUND: Continue crocheting in round with 10 round dc.

SNOUT:
Crochet 14 dc in beige with needle 3 around the opening on the front of the head. Make 1 mark at the top center of the head. LEGS:

ROUND 1: Crochet 6 dc in the Lm ring.
ROUND 2: * 1 dc in the first dc, 2 dc in the next dc *, from * - * ddh = 9 dc.
3rd-12th round: 1 dc in every dc, cut the thread.
Crochet 4 such legs. Fill in some cotton wool and sew it to the bottom of the body.

TAIL:
Crochet 7 ch with double thread beige with needle 3, crochet 2 dtr in the 2nd ch from needle, then 1 htr in each of the last 5 ch. Cut the thread and sew the tail to the back of the body so that he hangs down.

EARS:
Crochet 6 ch with double thread beige with needle 3, continue to crochet 2 htr in the 2nd ch from needle, then 1 dc in each of the last 4 ch, cut thread. Crochet one more ear and sew on both at the top of the head.

HAIR BÜSCHEL:
Cut 8 threads beige approx. 8 cm. Combine and tie together 2 pieces: insert the crochet hook at the top of the head at one ear, pull the threads through halfway to make a loop. Bring the ends through the loop and tighten (the threads are now knotted). Repeat this process 3 more times, so that tufts of hair are between both ears. Cut the hair to the desired length.
