The honest interview
Schlager queen Andrea Berg (44) fills huge halls in her concerts - but privately she likes it more contemplatively, she told NEUE POST in an honest interview. Since her wedding with Uli Ferber she lives in Aspach near Stuttgart, helps in the family-owned hotel "Sonnenhof" and enjoys every day in the extended family, which consists of four generations!
Neue Post: Such large families have become rare. How does it work that there is no quarrel when you live so close together? Andrea Berg: Everyone naturally needs their own freedom and opportunities for retreat. As wonderful as it is to be able to rely on the family, you also have to be on your own. Your mother moved from Krefeld to your home in Swabia - was that a change? Andrea Berg: My mom tells me every day: "Girl, we are in paradise! Everything we have wished for has arrived! " And I can only sign that. To have a family to rely on is the very best life insurance. They now live in the countryside - with over 50 animals. Has that changed you? Andrea Berg: The whole way I went changed me and my way of looking at life . By mid-20, you are young and wild. Today I rest in a different way in myself, which gives me unlikely strength. This is also due to the support of my family. But that's how I see love differently too. When I go on stage today, I can say that love is something completely different to what I've seen all along. That's much more! And even though I've been betrayed and lied many times, my love has become more intense, and today I can say, I'm fine, and I enjoy the moment. No one can say how long that will last, but today I try to be happy. Because happiness comes out of us and not by the people around us! Does that mean you're just writing songs about happiness to tell something about it? Andrea Berg: The best songs are written in pain. When I sing, "Heaven is full of violins, " that's the way it is, but love goes much deeper. And through the experiences I have made, I can remember pain very well. Even if you live in paradise, you are always afraid that something will happen. Because there is nothing for a guarantee. Whereby: Negative thoughts take away a lifetime. And I do not want to let that happen. How do you do that? Andrea Berg: When I drive into a parking garage and think: I can not get a parking space, that does not work either. I drive in and say: I'll go shopping right away, then a shoe will come out of it. And you also have to kick your ass in order not to slip into old, negative thought patterns, but to say: I'm happy and thankful. And then you go out and enjoy the day. So to speak: thoughts as a wish fulfiller ... Andrea Berg: That really works! Earlier, when I still earned 293 marks as a medical assistant, I always dreamed that I would have a beautiful house, a wonderful man, two children - and in front of the door are four pairs of green rubber boots. That's the same with us today! Only that I have three children because my husband brought two sons to marriage. I believe in destiny. That I met my husband was a fateful encounter - and now my dream is true!
