July 2016 and Sunday, July 31, it will be close to Germany's highways again. The reason: holiday time is now in all German states. While Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg start their family vacation, Bremer, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia are heading home again.

In addition, there are major events to which one or the other would like to arrive over the weekend: Formula 1 in Hockenheim (Baden-Württemberg) and the "Travemünde Week" (Schleswig-Holstein).

When does it accumulate most of all?

According to the ADAC, the peak hours on today's Friday (29.07.) Are between 14 and 19 o'clock, on Saturday between 11 and 18 o'clock and on Sunday between 14 and 20 o'clock.

In addition there are full closures on the A 43 (Recklinghausen direction Wupertal between junction Herne-Eickel and cross Bochum) and on the A 542 (Langenfeld direction Monheim between triangle Langenfeld and cross Monheim-Süd).

When traveling?

The ADAC recommends car trips on weekdays, especially next Tuesday or Wednesday. If you can only travel on weekends, it probably will be less stressful by train or plane. And rely on the car should drive if possible outside of rush hours (see above).
