Maritime living trends are not just for coastal residents. With our 5 simple DIY interior design ideas, you can bring home the flair of the sea.

You need this for the lampshade:

  • Lampshade (eg from Ikea)
  • Denim (department store)
  • Textile adhesive (craft shop)
  • Eventually XXL stamp (via Amazon)
  • tape measure
  • French chalk
  • fabric scissors

And that's how easy it is:

1. Measure the lampshade circumference.

2. Cut the denim (circumference of the lampshade + 2 cm x 20 cm)

3. Wet the denim thinly with textile adhesive.

4. Stick denim on the lower part of the lampshade. Turn the fabric inwards for a degree and press firmly.

6. Cut out the lettering.
