What every daughter should have said to her mother ...

Why do we often find it difficult to say things that come from our hearts? Especially to our mothers we should have said these things at some point ...

There are people who carry their hearts on the tongue. It is not difficult for them to compliment and express their feelings. I envy these people.

I know that I love my mother and that my world would collapse if she ever ... I do not want to write it down. I watch as she ages, as she becomes more and more difficult. And there are so many things that I want to say as a daughter of my mother - as long as it still works. But when I talk to her then it's all about everyday topics like work, health, prescriptions, relatives ...

9 things every woman should have said to her mother - before it's too late ...

1. I am adult and often strong and self-confident. But there are still many moments when I wish you were with me and would give me strength.

2. I'm sorry, what a terrible person I was when I was in puberty. I did not want to hurt you.

3. It is now clear to me what sacrifices you made for me and my siblings on how much you have renounced for us. Thanks. For real.

4. I never wanted to take you and what you do for me for granted. But I think I did it too often. I'm sorry.

5. Now that I have children myself, I understand how much you love me. And it just blows me over.

6. I was so angry when you forbade me to make-up at 13 or go to the disco at 15. By now I understand that you wanted to protect me and wanted to save my childhood.

7. I've said so many times that "everyone" is allowed to do other XY, you're stuffy, making you feel like you're a bad mother. But you were not a bad mother. You were a self-confident mother who shared her opinion - and who was perfectly right that of course not "all" should be allowed to do that stuff I wanted.

8. I have always loved you - even though I have not always shown it to you.

9. I know that you are not perfect. That is nobody. And I never wanted to blame you.

I bet every daughter can keep this list going. I'm happy about additions!
