"My daughter's purpose is to give life"
She saved the lives of two children and had to let go of her own. Little Olivia is just three years old when she dies.
Olivia Swedberg is a happy girl. She is affectionately called "little O" by her parents, she is playful and curious about life. Unfortunately, it should end much too soon. Olivia is diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor at the age of three.

The diagnosis changes the life of the happy family in one fell swoop. Olivia's parents are faced with a decision that no one in the world can take from them: treatment, yes or no? Chemotherapy could fight the tumor - but only for a short time. He will come again. With this knowledge, parents quickly realize that they do not want to expose their daughter to torture. They reject the chemo and instead plan a last vacation together.

With the serious awareness that her daughter is about to leave, Olivia's parents think of organ donation. They realize that they can not save their little O - but the life of another child.
When they experience the joie de vivre of their daughter up close, it seems inconceivable to them that this small, lively child will die. But reality is catching up with the family faster than expected. She's on a Disney trip, a dream for little Olivia, who's a huge fan of Frozen. While she is still swimming with dolphins one moment and is singing her favorite song "Let It Go" with all her soul, she lies next to the hospital of Florida. Olivia's lung collapses.

At this point in time, the family knows that if they can not help her, her parents want to continue living their little daughter's life through organ donation. It is unimaginable what pain they have to go through during this time. But Olivia has inherited the joie de vivre from her parents, unbelievable as it may sound, even in this difficult time they try to make the most of the 3-year-old's unremitting death: saving lives.
As fate would have it, Olivia's mother Lauressa reached the news of a woman at that time. She's been following Olivia's tragic social media story, as well as a little boy waiting for a new liver. The families make contact.

This is how the paths of Olivia Swedberg and Lucas Goeller, a 2-year-old boy suffering from a rare bile duct atresia, meet. His bile ducts are closed, the toddler has undergone numerous surgeries and treatments that have tied him to a hospital bed for his short life. The doctors give the boy only a few weeks. His only salvation is a new liver.
For Lauressa is clear: Lucas should receive the liver of her daughter. She can not save her life - but with her death another child can live on.
On the 30th of June the day has come. The 3-year-old is declared brain dead. After the tragic news, her parents arrive the next day with a message that offers at least some comfort: Lucas received the liver after being donated to an organ bank.
