Delete meeting instead

There are people who seem to have an infinite number of Facebook friends and you seriously wonder if they really know them all. Certainly not, but blogger Matt Kuleza wants to change that.

It's a bit of a paradox: there are unlimited communication options and yet we do not know much about most people in our friends list . Over the years, Matt Kuleza from Melbourne had some Facebook acquaintances accumulated, which he finally wanted to clear out one evening. But something stopped him. Why not just get to know people rather than delete them?

He decided to start a special project: he wants to have a coffee with every one of his 1, 088 friends. Three years should be " 1000+ Coffees " - or just as long as he needs. As you can see on his Facebook page, he has since the beginning of September already 24 of his "friends" (again) met, including an ex-girlfriend, a college colleagues and also a complete stranger.

At his meetings, Matt sees himself more in the role of the interviewer and tries to learn more about the other than to talk about himself. "The experiment is a kind of documentation about others, but also the attempt to take a step out of the comfort zone, everyone has something interesting to tell!"

The effort seems worthwhile, because " 1000+ Coffees" Matt Kuleza has even introduced a new job: On one of his dates, a friend offered him spontaneously to work part-time with her. With whom we could probably meet again for a coffee?
